Why isn't anyone talking about the monitary aspect of what Toyota owner's now face???

So, on top of everthing else that is wrong, we have a car that is worth a fraction of what is owed on it and we can't sell it or even trade it in.

Nobody wants to buy a "broken" car.

Even if we get it fixed – and I don't trust what they are saying is the "cure" to fix the problem – we have been offered 1/2 the value at trade in of what NADA and KBB showed it to be valued at a couple of months ago.

Who is going to pay us back for that?

Come to the midwest and see how bad it is! In the local factories around here, IT IS difficult to get hired at these types of places due to the Immigrants here!! I am a mother of 3 and have worked side by side with these immigrants. I am pretty sure many are illegal. There are more Mexicans in these plants here than there are white citizens, or african americans. Here we are the ones being laughed at by these immigrants who find it funny that they have taken our jobs away, that they send the money they make in our country back home to Mexico! AND the fact that more than one family of immigrants live in the same homes, working the jobs we real americans deserve and need! These immigrants are also getting loans for homes and cars much easier than we americans. They are also drawing welfare, wic, medicaid, getting food stamps and so forth while working these jobs too!

When are employers going to be sanctioned for hiring illegals? I thought there was a law against this. Until employers are held to the law, nothing will change.
I know of a Mexican family, who worked "in the shadows"–the construction business for the male, while they collected welfare, food stamps, and used medicaid for their medical needs. It's all such a joke, and US citizens need the jobs.
We need more states to adopt the Arizona laws, and stop this madness.

Food Stamps are nice and handy if you want some fast meals.:~,

For the first time in U.S. history, more than 40 million Americans are on food stamps, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture projects that number will go up to 43 million Americans in 2011.
• This is what American workers now must compete against: in China a garment worker makes approximately 86 cents an hour and in Cambodia a garment worker makes approximately 22 cents an hour.So corporations are moving operations out of the U.S. at breathtaking speed. Since the U.S. government does not penalize them for doing so, there really is no incentive for them to stay. And this is just the garment industry there are many other companies sending their work overseas. So it's not just the illegals that are taking your jobs, but the employers who hire them and the government who is sending their business to other countries.
