Don't want it. Don't eat it.

Have to agree with Mary.. It's peoples OWN responsibility to take care of themselves and eat right, the government should stay out of it.

Yes the government should stay out of it.

However, being fat should not be a disability. It should not be a disease. It should be an embarrassment since you just cannot stop eating, well, crap.

Less calories than a lot of fast food. I would like to see some govt subsidies to make healthy food more affordable and for research into taste but forcing companies to make food more healthy is a bit too much (although not unprecedented, govt has no problems knocking small growers out of the market by having quasi-govt organizations set size standards of stuff like oranges). Salt is a problem and also way too much granulated sugar and HFCS in everything. Stuff that should be healthy such as fruit juices are loaded with it. We got so much sugar putting us down that we have to counter it with tons of caffeine.

Ironically, this is one area where alcohol has made me more healthy. Because I am so accustomed to the bitter flavors of single malt Scotch and malty stouts that I hate sweets. Sodas, cakes, "chocolate", etc. I have a lot of energy because the sugar I do get is a huge boost and doesn't cause an insulin flood.
